SEGA has confirmed that the Mega Drive Mini will be releasing this year.
Just like the NES and SNES Mini, the Mega Drive Mini will have “multiple titles included” with it. We do not know what the titles are, and we don’t know how many there will be.
However, we do know that this is an official product made by SEGA.
Retro is big business … right?
Well let’s face it we always expected other parties would follow in Nintendo’s footsteps eventually. But in all fairness even if we have fond memories of the SEGA Megadrive there is really only a hand full of games we would ever repurchase from the era (mostly being Sonic games).
Personally we think SEGA might have been better of offering these games though Playstation Network, Xbox Live and the upcoming Nintendo Switch online service but … we will see what will happen.
