SEGA vs Nintendo Console Wars TV Series

Legendary has announced it’s adapting the novel  Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation into a TV series.

From novel to TV

The popular novel was written by Blake J. Harris and it gives gamers a behind-the-scenes look at SEGA’s war against Nintendo in the 90s, as well as the conflicts between the Japanese HQ and the American subsidiary.

Jordan Vogt-Roberts (known for among other things; Kong: Skull Island) has been approached to direct the Console Wars TV series, with Mike Rosolio (known for American Vandal, Sean Saves the World) writing the pilot episode. Executive producers are Seth Rogen, his long-time writing partner Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver.

So when it comes to that, the names are there.

We wonder what the result is going to be like and how much both Nintendo and SEGA will actually be involved in developing it. Let’s hope that it is at least a little bit.
