Furukawa indicates that Super Mario Run has already been downloaded three hundred million times. Here the mobile game took over two years. Which of course is ridiculous … but … hey it’s a Mario!
Downloads in countries outside of Japan continue to grow and count for more than 90% of the total. As an ‘ever-nothing’ Nintendo title for every owner of a mobile platform, it has crept into a pattern with a stable number of downloads every month.
The large scope of Super Mario Run ensures that Nintendo and the IP gain more strength.
Note that this is all downloads and not the people who actually bought the game. Earlier this year, in mid-July, came out that the turnover of Super Mario Run would have passed the $ 60 million. With a cost of € 9.99, that means that at least 6 million people have already bought Super Mario Run.
Super Mario Run has been available for iOS since December 15, 2016 and since March 23, 2017 for Android.
