Super Nintendo World’s opening date to be announced this fall

Super Nintendo World‘s opening was postponed earlier this year, but the new opening date was not revealed at that time.

Universal Studios Japan stated that they want to see how things go in the next few months first. Once that happens, they will be announcing the new opening date sometime this fall.

The wait is on

As we still don’t know when people will finally be able to explore Super Nintendo World for themselves, though. As it delayed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (Universal Studios Japan itself reopened in June, but with increased safety guidelines in place.)

We do know a couple things about the land alread. There will be a ride based on Yoshi and one based on Nintendo’s hugely popular Mario Kart series. Visitors also will be able to use a Mario-themed wristband called the “Power Up Band” in combination with a smartphone app to track your activities while in the Nintendo-themed land.

Once all things settle down … I might have to visit Japan.
