This year’s Tokyo Game Show 2020 took place digitally in light of the global coronavirus situation. With TGS 2020 all wrapped up, let’s look at how many attended the show virtually – and what the show’s plans next year will be.
Millions of views
According to the Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association, TGS 2020 Online saw a whopping 31.6 million views during its run from from September 23 – 27 this year. During the show, developers revealed new details for titles such as Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, Gal*Gun Returns and more.

About TGS 2021
Moving forward, the Computer Entertainment Suppliers Association expects the event to go back to a physical format in 2021.
It subsequently announced that Tokyo Game Show 2021 would return to its usual venue at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan – and take place from September 30 – October 3, 2021.
