Almost everything in the video game industry has changed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Even The Game Awards had to deal with it. The pandemic never caused The Game Awards to skip a year, but it did stop people from going to the show for a few years.
That’s about to change, though. Geoff Keighley already said that The Game Awards would happen on December 8, but today he announced that the public will be invited to the show for the first time in three years. In fact, you can buy tickets starting on November 1.
About The Game Awards
The Game Awards honor creative and technical excellence in the video game industry around the world.
They bring together a wide range of game developers, game players, and famous people from pop culture to celebrate and promote gaming as the most immersive, challenging, and inspiring form of entertainment. They try to give credit to people who make the community better and give a voice to people who represent the future of the medium.
