Geoff Keighley announced on Twitter that The Game Awards 2020 were a roaring success which is good news for the video game industry in general.
While feelings towards the content in the event are usually mixed, the stats released by Keighley bodes well for future presentations. The Game Awards viewership was up by 83% this year, which is an incredible achievement for Geoff and the team.
Other key stats:

❇️ 2.63 million peak concurrent viewers on Twitch, double last year.
❇️ Watch time up over 129% across Twitch, YouTube and Facebook Gaming.

Game Awards keeps growing
It looks like The Game Awards isn’t going anywhere.
This year #TheGameAwards viewership grew over 83% to more than 83 million livestreams. This is beyond their wildest expectations; Geoff was just happy we could even produce the show this year. Thanks go out to everyone who watched The Game Awards 2020and where part of this global community.
