The Super Mario Bros. Movie’s penguin king is voiced by Khary Payton, the actor has revealed. Earlier, Nintendo and Illumination released the movie’s first trailer. The video opens with Bowser destroying the realm of the penguins and stealing the Super Star. And in that scenario, the king penguin speaks quickly, and it turns out that Payton is behind it.

Fans also got their first look at Chris Pratt and Jack Black’s portrayals of Mario and Bowser in the video.
Anya Taylor-Joy as Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Keegan-Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, and Sebastian Maniscalco as Spike are among the other cast members. There will also be a few unexpected appearances by Charles Martinet, who plays Mario in the video games.
