The World Ends With You – Animation starts April 9th

Square Enix confirmed the animation for beloved JRPG The World Ends with You will begin in Japan on the 9th April.

A Pre-Broadcast Special Program will air a week before on the 2nd April 2020.

Selected fans of the series will be able to attend a special screening of the first episode of the The World Ends with You The Animation. The online event also includes an exhibition which will contain various scene cuts and artwork, and more.

What we know about The World Ends With You Animation

The Animation was announced on June 25, 2020, through The World Ends With You’s promotional Twitter account. Prior to this point, key art was released teasing the announcement. More information was later shared the following month at Anime Expo.

On July 27, 2020, music production was announced to be fully completed.

On September 18, 2020, a brief preview of the first episode was premiered on the MBS and TBS stations. It was followed by a 7 Days Campaign on the promotional twitter account where missions will be given out each day for seven days.
