It’s the middle of March, which means it’s time to learn about the World Video Game Hall of Fame’s yearly contenders for the 2022 edition. The lineup was released by The Strong.

The following are the nominees for the World Video Game Hall of Fame in 2022:

- Minesweeper
- Ms. Pac-Man

- PaRappa the Rapper
- Resident Evil
- Rogue

- Words with Friends
Vote for 2022 finalists
Fans may vote for their favorite here between March 17 and March 24 as part of the “Player’s Choice” voting if they want to be engaged with the winners.
The top three vote-getters will create a single ballot, which will be combined with votes submitted by members of the International Selection Advisory Committee. This group is made up of journalists and academics who are well-versed in the history of video games and its social impact. According to the Strong, the public will have the same weight as one judge.
On May 5 at 10:30 a.m. ET, the final inductees for the 2022 World Video Game Hall of Fame will be unveiled at a virtual ceremony.
