Nintendo of Japan announced that it will no longer offer repairs for 3DS and 3DS XL consoles from 31st March this year. This is due to difficulties sourcing the parts necessary.
The notice regarding the repairs went live over on the Nintendo of Japan’s official website where the company apologises for any inconvenience caused.
New 3DS repairs still a thing
Nintendo also states the following consoles that can still be repaired:
- New Nintendo 3DS
- New Nintendo 3DS LL
- Nintendo 2DS
- New Nintendo 2DS LL
(LL is XL in western territories)
Still supporting the Nintendo in 3DS in 2021, which ever way you twist it is very pro consumer of Nintendo.
