Despite Nintendo‘s gradual discontinuation of features and services for the 3DS, they are still releasing firmware updates for the handheld. Yeah … it’s a Nintendo thing we guess.
The last firmware update dates back to November of last year and it has been 6 years since the last time that the 3DS received an update of any real significance.
Same old same old … stability
With this update the firmware has been updated to 11.15.0-47.
Although patch notes have not been released yet, rough translations of the Japanese patch notes, along with their pattern for 3DS updates as of late, indicate that it’s nothing more than the usual confirmation that “further improvements to overall system stability and other minor adjustments have been made to enhance the user experience”.
So yay for you people still playing your Nintendo 3DS in 2021.
