Nintendo as dropped the Nintendo 3DS from the HackerOne bug bounty program.A bug bounty program allows hackers to receive a reward when they report an exploit they have found.
Nintendo is dropping the 3DS from their bug bounty program (where they offer security researchers money in exchange for exploits and hacks).
I think they also admitted the 3DS security is absolutely fucked in the announcement e-mail? pic.twitter.com/jXIPFiIpBh

Security meh
Nintendo decided to drop the 3DS from the bug bounty program on July 15, 2020, citing the “current security situation” as the reason for ceasing support for the system.
Not that security on the Nintendo 3DS was ever that great to really begin with, but is the final nail in the coffin for the Nintendo 3DS?
Homebrew and hackers glad
Members of the hacking community are apparently celebrating since they can now exploit the handheld to their hearts content. Unfortunately, this also meant that Nintendo will be dropping support for the handheld when it comes to repairing units it seems.
