Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition – Version 1.0.1016 patch notes

The Nintendo Switch version of Blade Runner: Enhanced Edition has been updated to version 1.0.1016 thanks to a new patch.

There are a lot of fixes and improvements in this. There are a couple of new ways to turn off widescreen borders and change the brightness of the game.

  • Added the audio and text localization that was missing (video localization to come in a later patch). Change the language in the Game Options menu.
  • Added credits for the missing subtitles
  • Fixed bugs that could cause deadlocks and memory leaks
  • Fixed several menus that didn’t respond to changes in resolution
  • When menu sliders are moved with the mouse, the sound no longer loops.
  • Fixed PC setting for borderless windows not staying in place
  • Added an option to the game to turn off the widescreen borders
  • Added an option to change the brightness of the game
  • McCoy couldn’t move around freely in some rooms, like outside Runciter’s.
  • Fixed a bug that kept subtitles from showing during outtakes
  • Fixed outtakes that didn’t play at 60fps
  • Fixed fog not showing up right in some rooms (eg. Chinatown)
  • McCoy no longer gets stuck in vehicles in RC03.
  • Changes no longer cause the green to flicker.
  • Items were not showing up when a saved game was loaded.
  • Esper no longer crashes when you use the preview thumbnail to zoom out.
  • Fixed a number of KIA problems
  • It used to be hard to tell which page you were on in the kia. Now, the currently selected page should be shown in the top row of buttons.
  • The “cursor hover” state in kia wasn’t different enough to tell where your cursor was. Now, it’s been changed again to make it much clearer.
  • When using the kia privacy add-on, it wasn’t clear which clues were private. Now, each private clue has its own icon and the background is highlighted.
  • Upgraded graphics for KIA and silhouettes of possible suspects
  • During cutscenes, keyboard shortcuts can no longer be used to open the KIA.
  • Localized subtitles now have the right colors.
  • Changed the language of the interface when the subtitles changed. Changed the volume when the scene changed.
  • The choices a player makes in conversations can be changed in-game.
  • Achievements for difficulty can be earned in the past.

Nightdive is getting ready to put out another patch for the game. There are plans to make more changes to the user interface, menus, controls, pathfinding, and other parts of Police Maze. There will also be a switch for the original and Enhanced Edition videos, as well as video localization for the intro and outtakes.
