Card Shark for Nintendo Switch has received a fresh update from Devolver Digital and Nerial. It enhances tutorials, eliminates soft locks, solves specific control problems, and more, according to the creators.

Patch notes

  • Fixed softlock when not pouring enough wine at the Gambling House.
  • Salon: The looping back to Limbo following failures against the Comte has been fixed.
  • Fixed erroneous speech for pincer shuffle versions in the First Salon Carriage.
  • Chateau: Fixed a soft lock that occurred in the middle of a deal if no card was taken in Sticky Hand.
  • Cour des Miracles: When loading a save game, the intro cutscene now plays appropriately.
  • Versaille: Fixed softlock in final round.
  • Comte was prevented from sitting in the first seat in strategy 16.
  • Second Deal: Issues with input being remembered during discussion have been resolved.
  • Explanations no longer get stuck while single-shuffling / injogging in the last shuffle pass using Pincer Shuffle.
  • Permadeath: On permadeath, unlocked tactics are no longer erased.
  • Endgame: Replaying a completed game begins in the bar, with skip rights and tactics preserved.
  • Map: Fixed the issue where you become stranded with nowhere to go since returning to the Camp is not an option.
  • When navigating with the gamepad shoulder buttons, the options menu no longer loses focus.
  • The Italian text no longer overflows on the difficulty screen.
  • Magician’s Trick, first Cascarot Camp: corrected wrong arm skins
  • First Hospice Carriage: Corrected the inaccurate speech that was played after the shuffling explanation.
  • First Hospice: Resolved Aramitz’s negative cash flow.
  • Chateau Carriage: Fixed table layout does not correspond to the instructional.
  • Second Cafe Carriage: Removed the Reset button while explaining the approach.
  • Cour des Miracles: Added a reminder of the required cards when Sticky Hand or Full Harvest fails.
  • Cour des Miracles: Avoided softlock by listening to Erdnase Shuffle explanation many times in a succession.
  • Second Bathing Facility Carriage: Fixed explanation allowing for error in Sticky Hand.
  • Second Bathing Establishment: Fixed a possible softlock in Sticky Hand while failing to steal a card.
  • Freeplay, Strategy 10 – The Shiner: Fixed opponent hand with no high card at times.
  • Epilogue: Fixed softlock when gently pouring wine.
  • UI: Repaired misplaced money UI after intercepted talks.
  • The controls for False Riffle Shuffle were out of date.
  • Minor aesthetic enhancements to Nicolai’s already fantastic paintings.
