Castlevania: Advance Collection will be officially announced very soon it seems, perhaps even during last night’s Nintendo Direct presentation, but it’s not at time of writing.
Gematsu noted the collection will include four games which are;
- Castlevania: Circle of the Moon in 2001
- Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance in 2002
- Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow
- Castlevania: Dracula X.
As with other newly published retro compilations the Castlevania: Advance Collection will include a handy rewind feature and other quality of life improvements.
About Castlevania: Advance Collection
This is a collection of four classic Castlevania games in which players battle monsters and attempt to overthrow Dracula and his minions. From a side-scrolling perspective, players traverse platform environments and use whips, boomerang-like blades, and grenades to kill fantastical creatures (e.g., vampires, demons, harpies, ghouls).
Several enemies emit splatters of blood when injured or killed, and some levels / environments contain larger depictions of blood: tears/pools coming from a statue; a bat crushed in a giant’s hand; a figure impaled on a stake. A handful of small female demons / monsters are depicted topless. The word “bastard” appears in the dialogue.
Maybe one day SOTN
Not a bad collection if we are being honest, we still hope that in some way or shape Nintendo fans will one day get to play Symphony of the Night. but still this a a good collection of you ask us.
