The new Celeste update, the Farewell DLC which will include a 9th chapter, has been in the works for while.
But he game’s developers have announced in an official blog post that Celeste Chapter 9: Farewell will be releasing on September 9h for free. The intention is to release the update on all platforms simultaneously, including the Nintendo Switch.

Xbox delayed perhaps
The Xbox One version might not be released on the same day. We apologize, but coordinating this patch across all consoles was challenging for our tiny studio! If it doesn’t make the 9th, it will release soon after. Thank you for understanding
The Celeste devs also announced that the physical release of the game “will enter production shortly”. And I personally am more then excited for both!!
