Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy eliminates Naughty Dog references

When Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy initially launched on PlayStation 4, it included a number of allusions to Naughty Dog in the form of Easter eggs scattered throughout the games.

However, the upcoming release on non-Sony platforms, including Nintendo Switch, removes those references completely and replaces them with images that aren’t tied to Sony’s studio or its games.

Naughty?

While we get the cleanup to some extend where is the real harm in keeping that in tact? It’s not like Naughty Dog bashed other companies in such a form or way. What has made Activision gone this route? Is it paying hommage on the console for the reference or something else entirely?

In all fairness aren’t we gamers and developers mature enough to acknowledge other platforms?

Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy consists of remastered versions of the first three Crash Bandicoot titles, which originally released on the Playstation and are set to make their Nintendo Switch debut on July 10th.
