Denuvo and their products are not at all popular on PCs, and there are many reasons for this. For example, they don’t stop piracy completely, even though they say they do. And games with Denuvo DRM often have problems with how well they work technically.
Unfortunately, it looks like the company wants to start working on consoles as well.
Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection
The first thing they want to get is a Nintendo Switch. The company has announced a product called “Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection,” which they say will stop people from pirating Switch games on the PC.
Denuvo has since said that this has nothing to do with Nintendo and that the DRM won’t have any online checks. Some people have said bad things about Denuvo products for the PC because they have online checks. The product looks like it will mostly be used by third-party developers and not by Nintendo’s own games.
Still, if you didn’t like Denuvo’s work before, this probably won’t make you like it now.
