Are you ready for an unforgettable trip to Elysium?
Xenoblade Chronicles 2, the great new adventure for the Nintendo Switch, comes out on December 1st. But before we take you to the world of Alrest, you can come here to learn about the origins of the story. Scriptwriter Yuichiro Takeda takes you into his experience and talks about one of his favorite scenarios.
This is what Mr. Takeda had to say
Hello everyone. Nice to meet you! Or maybe I should say thank you for your tremendous support! I am Yuichiro Takeda . I as a scriptwriter worked on Xenoblade Chronicles and Xenoblade Chronicles X, and I have now done the same for Xenoblade Chronicles 2.If I had to note the most amazing thing from my point in the scenario team, I would say that it would have to be the unique feeling that director Tetsuya Takahashi has put into this story .Script director Takahashi delivered a plot that from the first moment blows you away.
The work was split between Kazuhodo Hyodo and myself. He wrote chapters with an even number, I wrote the same with an odd nummer. Takahashi wrote the whole story. Then we met with the three of us to put our scripts alongside each other. The script is built by weighing differences that emerged through our unique personalities and are then enhanced and complemented by Takahashi.
This technique is often applied in movies. I think the story of this game will be the ultimate experience for fans of Takahashi. But that does not mean I have done a bad job. While writing thanks to Masatsugu Saito it was possible to be immersed fully in the world of Alrest. For he has constantly designed even more interesting and compelling characters. My personal favorite of this story is the fourth chapter, and it is about Torah and Poppi. I like robots and find that this story really reflects my passion for Nopon. I hope you also enjoy it.
As is always the case, the story was completed years before the game released. So by the time it reaches the market, it is an adventure for me as amazing as for all other fans. I can not wait to explore the world of Alrest with all you!
