September update patch notes

  • Balance:
    • Changed how often sparkling buried items appear and what they drop:
    • The range of the respawn timer has grown.
    • The minimum and maximum number of sparkling buried items that can appear at a given time per biome have been lowered.
  • Dream Shards have been added to the table of rewards.
    • There is a chance that 1-2 Night Shards or 1-2 Dream Shards will appear from each sparkling buried item.
  • Changed loot tables so that animals can be fed:
  • Flowers are no longer on the loot tables.
    • Added Dream Shards to the loot tables when “liking” a creature’s food. Before, the only way to get Dream Shards was to feed animals something that they “love.”
  • The loot tables for clearing Night Thorns have been changed:
    • Less likely that Coal will fall.
    • Dream Shards are more likely to drop.
  • Bugfixes:
    • General:
      • Fixed Error #7, which caused the game to get stuck on the loading screen for some players if they quit the game while the “Well Fed” buff was active.
      • Fixed an issue that caused accounts to become out of sync when Back to Title Screen was chosen on Epic Games Store.
      • Fixed a problem that caused some users to lose sync with their profile because of a slow connection.
      • Made it easier to get back online while playing.
      • Made the claims about the Founder’s Pack rewards more accurate and gave out the missing rewards. We’ll keep an eye on this problem and look for more ways to fix it if we need to. If you ran into this bug, close the game completely and start it up again while you’re connected to the internet. Then, check your inbox for a new message with your missing items.
    • Interface and Experience for Users:
      • Made the font size of text on Switch bigger.
      • Made it faster for menus to load.
    • Stability:
      • – Switch crashes happen less often now. In future updates, there will be more optimization.
    • Quest:
      • – Fixed a problem where quest items weren’t showing up in Scrooge McDuck’s Store. If you ran into this bug, the item won’t show up in Scrooge McDuck’s store. Instead, it will show up in a random, unlocked spot outside in the village. If you can’t find the item, you can call Customer Care for help.
      • – Fixed a problem with the fire extinguisher in WALL-“The E’s Shy Little Robot” quest, which was not working right. If this bug happened to you, you can find a fire extinguisher in Scrooge McDuck’s store.
      • – Fixed a problem with a quest item from Donald Duck’s “A House Fit for a Duck” quest that showed up in an area of his house that couldn’t be reached.
      • – Fixed a bug in Scrooge McDuck’s “Scrooge McDuck’s Grand Re-Opening” quest that made it hard to make flower pots. If you ran into this bug, you can find more flower pots just outside Scrooge McDuck’s Store. To craft with them, use the Furniture Editing mode to take them away.
      • Quest items were getting stuck at the bottom of the Mystical Cave on the beach. This has been fixed.
      • Fixed a bug that made it hard to finish Goofy’s “Fishing Expedition” quest if the player’s inventory was already full.
      • Fixed a bug that caused a Memory Shard to appear in an area of Merlin’s Dreamlight Library that couldn’t be reached.
        • It was possible to catch a Glittering Herring too early in Elsa’s “What Home Feels Like” quest, which has been fixed. If you ran into this bug, you can now catch another Glittering Herring. At the end of the quest, the other one will be taken away.
  • Change your House, Valley, or Avatar:
    • Fixed a bug that caused chests placed in the player’s house to be lost when new rooms were added. If you ran into this bug, add a new chest that you made to your home. Your items that went missing will show up here.
    • Fixed a bug that made it so players who imported clothes from the Avatar Designer Tool couldn’t change their clothes or the clothes seemed to disappear.
    • Fixed a bug that made some rewards from the Star Path available in parts of the game where they shouldn’t have been.
    • Fixed a bug that made Ariel’s Seafoam Gown (Friendship Reward) look like it wasn’t there.
    • Fixed a bug that kept the player from cooking with the Oven and Hood that Remy gave them (Friendship Reward).
  • Misc:
    • Changed the Miguel theme.
