Square Enix has published further information about the plot, characters, and gameplay of Dragon Quest Treasures.
This material follows the previous batch from earlier in the month.
Dragon Quest Treasures Story
– Erik and his sister Mia dwell aboard a Viking longship and want to one day travel the globe in pursuit of great wealth.
— One night, they discover Porcus and Purrsula, two otherworldly beings, and are transported to a fascinating land known as Draconia.
This is a fabled country filled with creatures and riches awaiting discovery.
— Erik and Mia’s long-awaited dream trip has finally begun.
— After fleeing the Viking longship, Erik and Mia are escorted to a fascinating ruin by two intriguing animals.
— In the ruin, they discover a pair of Dragon Daggers, which causes them to be drawn into a whole new realm.
– The realm in which they find themselves is known as Draconia, a floating island inhabited by monsters.
– With the assistance of their Dragon Daggers, our heroes begin their hunt for the seven legendary Dragonstones.

Purrsula, a strange creature rescued by our heroes, resembles a cat and serves as Erik’s companion.
Mia (voiced by Freya Skye in English, Inori Minase in Japanese)
– Mia is a strong and active young lady who lives with her brother Erik aboard a Viking longship.
She enjoys treasure seeking and hopes to acquire a substantial haul one day.
Mia’s Spirit Guide: Porcus (voiced by Adam Diggle in English, Yasuhiro Takato in Japanese)
– Porcus looks like a pig
– He develops a crush on Mia and follows her wherever she goes.

– The Dragon Daggers allow Erik and Mia to converse and work with these beasts.
Utilize the Skills of Your Monsters to Search for Treasure
— Draconia’s islands are varied, including everything from volcanoes to glaciers.
– Use the specific abilities of your monsters to look for riches everywhere you go.
Fight Side-by-Side with a Monster Team
– Your monster allies will assist you on the battlefield, fighting alongside Erik or Mia to eliminate annoying foes.
Discovering Treasure
– Collaborate with your monster allies to uncover secret riches.
– The Fortune Finder should be your first stop while searching for riches.
– Proceed in the direction indicated by the arrow
– If your monsters get too ecstatic, use Fortune Finder to activate their Treasure Visions.
Your monsters will reveal the location of hidden wealth to you.
– Utilize the clues supplied by the Treasure Visions to locate the treasure.
– If the earth begins to light brilliantly, it’s time to start digging because you’ve located the treasure.
– You won’t know the treasure’s value until you return to base.
Guard Your Wealth from Rival Bandits
– Rival gangs will come for your loot and steal it for themselves.
Considering Treasure
– You must return any treasures you find to your base so they may be assessed.
– Accumulate riches to expand your base and hone your skills as treasure hunters.
– Some of the items you discover may even feature famous Dragon Quest characters.
The Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest Treasures will be released on December 9, 2022.
