
The Nintendo Switch version of ESCHATOS has gotten some new gameplay. The shoot ’em up game arrived in North America and Europe this week after making its debut in Japan late last year. Footage provided by Handheld Players.

Exhilarating and fast-paced action!
Each level section moves quickly, making the game exciting and fast-paced. The game is progressed with rhythm through frequent transitions from assault to rest and return. There are no pauses between levels and no data loading delays, enabling you to play nonstop from start to finish. Traditional effects combined with a science fiction premise create a traditional world full of design and characters with a nostalgic vibe.
Shoot ’em up shooter with a lot of action.
Simple and easy-to-understand rules! Simply “shoot,” “evade,” and “defend.” Simple score and difficulty level choices make it simple for anybody to play even if it’s their first time.
System of Protection
Shield mechanism protects from opposing fire and enables for swift retaliation. Choose one of the three shots offered – “front shot,” “broad shot,” or “shield” – strategically.
Three different game modes are available.
Play in three distinct game modes: “ORIGINAL MODE,” “ADVANCED MODE,” and “TIME ATTACK MODE,” which includes power-ups and a race against the clock.
With three separate game types, there’s never a dull moment!
Three alternative BGM sound sources are available!
“ORIGINAL BGM,” “ARRANGED BGM,” and “REMASTERED BGM” are all options (high-resolution ver. of ORIGINAL BGM).
While preserving the original FM sound source as a basis, enjoy the improved depth of sound.

ESCHATOS is a downloadable game for the Nintendo Switch that can be purchased via the eShop. It has language choices in English and Japanese.
