Final Vendetta – Patch notes

  • New “CASUAL” difficulty setting, which lets you keep going whenever you want and makes enemies less aggressive. We recommend this mode for people who have never played a game like this before or who just want to take it easy. Basically, you can spam credits until you beat the game.
  • Once you’re good at this mode, you should move on to “Easy,” which has also been improved. Easy mode now starts with more lives and has a slight change to how aggressive enemies are.
  • Stage hazards like falling barrels and chandeliers have also been taken away, and now only Hard and Ultra modes have them.
  • Extra lives are now given at one million, two million, and three million points in these different game modes… But not on the Ultra level! We want this mode to be as hard as possible for fans of traditional beat-em-up games.
    • Game Changes
    • On modern controllers, the triggers and bumpers now do different things. The left trigger lets you dash or dodge, the right trigger lets you block, the left bumper lets you back attack or do a heavy attack, and the right bumper lets you use your alternate special attack.
    • We think these are much better ways to control Final Vendetta, and they let you make better use of some of the game’s unique features! As before, not as many players were using them.
    • You also told us that weapons didn’t seem useful, so we got rid of some of the “wind-up” animation frames for weapons to make attacks happen faster and added a few new places to put weapons. Also, when weapons are dropped, there is now a 50% chance that they won’t go away.
    • When an enemy knocks you down, players can now get up right away by pressing “jump” as soon as they hit the ground.
    • The rules for level rankings have changed. You can now get knocked down twice as often, and a best chain of 200 or more will move you up by one level.
    • We’ve made it easier for Claire to do combos of juggling moves, and we think that makes her a much more fun character to play as.
    • We’ve improved training mode. It’s now unlocked from the start, and you can now face any enemy or boss that appears on any level, even the one you’re on now. We’ve also added the option to turn on enemy hitboxes if you want to practice more advanced moves.
    • Stage Select used to be one of our cheat codes, but now it’s in the options menu and doesn’t stop you from getting achievements.
  • AI of enemies and other important changes
    • The Gentleman’s grab loop has been fixed. He should now only grab you if you’re constantly blocking, and he can no longer stun-lock you into nothingness.
    • Stun locks have been greatly weakened. Groups of enemies will now knock you to the ground instead of repeatedly stunning you or juggling you, giving you time to dash out of your recovery animations or use your super. When you’re knocked down, enemies can’t hit you anymore, and they have to be closer to you vertically to hit you.

About Final Vendetta

Final Vendetta is a hard-hitting, action-packed beat-em-up game for one or two players that is similar to old arcade games. It has beautiful pixel art and a thumping soundtrack with songs from Utah Saints that you can’t find anywhere else. Fight your way through dangerous places with bad guys and tough girls.

The infamous “Syndic8” gang is slowly taking over the capital, and they have taken Claire Sparks’ younger sister hostage. Unfortunately for them, Claire will do whatever it takes to get her back and crush anyone who gets in her way. She works with her two friends and housemates, retired pro wrestler Miller T. Williams and street-smart bare-knuckle fighter Duke Sancho. Together, they have to fight and brawl their way through the dangerous streets of London to find Claire’s sister.

Claire Sparks is a student and expert in martial arts who has been forced to help save her sister. Duke Sancho is a quick-thinking fighter from London who fights with his bare hands. He got his name after a fight in the Duke of Wellington pub. Not to mention the huge figure of Miller T. Williams, a Canadian who used to be a professional wrestler but was banned for using too much force. Together, the three friends must fight their way through the dangerous streets of London to get Claire’s sister back.

Fans of the genre will enjoy the game’s mechanics, which give players a wide range of moves and the ability to block, run, dodge, hit downed opponents, and even juggle combos. Each character has its own feel and set of moves that the player must learn.

Final Vendetta has a thumping soundtrack with songs from Utah Saints, Featurecast, and Krafty Kuts that have never been heard before. The UK is known for its dance music scene, and this electric soundtrack goes perfectly with all of the action in Final Vendetta.
