Firmware version 12.0.3 came and went

Nintendo is embracing monthly releases of Nintendo Switch firmware updates this year, but it went a bit weird…

Ever since March, Nintendo has released one update a month. The only exception had been the 2 updates that Nintendo released in April.

Nintendo has released a new Nintendo Switch firmware update. Once you download the update, the console should be at version 12.0.3. All Nintendo says is that there are “general system stability improvements to enhance the user’s experience”.

But something went wrong…

Reports then made the round that the update has been pulled, as it causes issues with downloading games from the Nintendo eShop. Supposedly, the update is still live on Nintendo’s servers, but Nintendo Switch consoles now default back to seeing 12.0.2 as the most recent update.

Nintendo still has the 12.0.3 announcement post live on their official website.
