The German Games Industry Association recently published a study that detailed the top 20 games that had the most sales in the area during the year 2022.
The popular video game franchise Pokemon had a strong showing, earning three spots on the list. Although it came in at number two on the ranking, Pokemon Legends: Arceus came quite close to becoming the most popular game of all time. Both Nintendo Switch Sports and Kirby and the Forgotten Land were recently released games, and they both debuted in the top 10 of the Switch software chart. Splatoon 3 was able to gain a position at number 14, despite the fact that it did not make the top 10. Even Mario Strikers: Battle League was able to make an appearance, finishing in nineteenth place.
