Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 has received a new 1.4.0 update from Inti Creates. It includes additional DLC support, an Assist Mode option for Hard Mode, and a slew of bug fixes.

The following are the complete patch notes for the Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 version 1.4.0 update:
- Support for the new DLC has been added.
- When beginning a new game on Hard Mode, a “Assist Mode” option has been added. The player begins Assist Mode with 200 lives, the Healing skill unlocked, and the Medley ability active.
- In version 1.3.0, there was an issue where the game may get frozen if time ran out during timed sequences.
- Fixed an issue where the game would crash if Ypsilon used a certain ability after the player had died.
- On the “Laboratory Block” and “Arctic Block” missions, a bug caused the player to slide through terrain in specific areas.
- Copen would clash with empty space in certain cases, which was fixed.
- When pushing the shoot button quickly, a problem caused an unwanted number of Lock-on Razors to be discharged.
- In rare circumstances, a shield-wielding adversary might fall in mid-air after being pushed back with a Recoil Dash.
- A display problem with certain backgrounds has been resolved.
- A display problem with some spoken situations has been resolved.
- In many languages, problems in the game script were fixed.
- Various additional game stability concerns have been addressed.

Copen overcomes all obstacles by fluidly switching between his two forms: the powerful “Break-Shift” and the faster “Bullit-Shift.”
In Break-Shift, crush your opponents to earn points and trigger Overdrive!
Copen can remain in Bullit-Shift mode for longer in Overdrive, enabling him to fly through the air at great speeds.
The “Hope Museum” Lola is more beautiful as ever! Her tunes definitely bring the house down!
When Copen’s HP reaches zero, Lola may morph and use her Anthem talent to use the power of singing to bring Copen back to life.
With her newest and cutest form yet, Healing Mode, she takes her recovery strength to the frontlines in Luminous Avenger iX 2!
Copen may now cure himself to full health at any time, anyplace, and as frequently as he wants…at no cost!
