About Imp of the Sun

Imp of the Sun is a 2D action platformer with a heavy Peruvian influence. You play as Nin, a sun Imp who must use his special fire-based skills to save the planet by averting an Eternal Eclipse. The game is being designed with agile mobility and exploration in mind, with rewarding combo-based fighting taking center stage.

Put an end to the Eternal Eclipse

Life cannot continue without the Sun’s power, which was stolen years ago by the Four Keepers and kept in the furthest reaches of the Empire. The Sun creates Nin with its fading spark, sending him on a quest to restore the Empire’s equilibrium and bring back the light.

Make use of your inner fire

You have the power of the Sun’s blaze at your fingertips as a Sun creature. As you travel throughout the Sun’s Empire to fight the Four Keepers, hone your skills in simplified gameplay developed for fluid movement and combo-based combat, and unlock new powers to grow more powerful.

Investigate, Collect, and Learn

Our forefathers kept track of their history using ‘Quipus’ artifacts. Collect Quipus to learn the narrative of the Eternal Eclipse and discover unique hidden goods inspired by Andean antiquities. Explore the Sun’s Empire and face one-of-a-kind, punishing bosses in whatever order you want, each with their own intricate mechanics and backstories.

A World Inspired by Peruvian Culture

Discover the Empire’s four corners, from the Andean mountains’ brilliant peaks and lush Amazonian rainforests to dry, scorching deserts and the dark depths of the abyss. Every terrain and creature has been painstakingly hand-drawn and meticulously constructed, paying homage to the civilizations that once inhabited and dominated Peru.

Imp of the Sun is slated to be released “soon,” however no precise date has been announced.
