Into the Breach – Advanced Edition patch notes

The complete patch notes for Into the Breach’s “Advanced Edition” upgrade have been released by Subset Games.

This update has an abundance of new content, including new squads, boss encounters, objectives, weaponry, and more. In addition, the development team has included a new weapon mechanism and a new tile mechanic.

Into the Breach Advanced Edition update

  • Major Enhancements
    • Five new squads and fifteen new squad milestones!
    • Seven new Vek, three new Psions, and ten new boss fights!
    • Twelve new missions and three additional bonus missions!
    • Four new pilots and ten new random skills!
    • 39 New weapons and gear!
    • Two new musical compositions by Ben Prunty!
    • Unfair Level, an even more tough mode of difficulty!
    • Seven New Tongues! Arab, Thai, Swedish, Korean, Traditional Chinese, Turkish, and Spanish from Latin America.
  • Other Variations
    • Optional Content Toggles – All of the additional material (enemies, pilot talents, etc.) other than balancing modifications may be disabled if you want to play with the original content.
    • Lowered weapon reactor consumption – In an effort to encourage players to instantly test out new equipment, we’ve reduced the reactor power required to equip the majority of gear.
    • Store Changes – Since you may now equip most weapons quickly without requiring an extra reactor core, the reputation required to buy weapons has raised by 1 and the number of stores on the first two islands has been reduced.
    • New weapon mechanic: KO effects. Certain weapons now have a secondary impact if they kill their main target.
    • New tile mechanic: Cracking – Certain weapons cause the earth to fracture. If the tile is injured a second time, it will shatter, destroying the tile as well as anyone standing on it!
    • New status effect: Boost increases the damage of the following attack by 1. Extremely efficient for AoE assaults!
    • Changes to the Cost of Unlocking Squads with Coins — The cost of unlocking squads with coins has been decreased to account for the additional squads.
  • Unfair Mode Tips
    • This mode is for seasoned players seeking a greater challenge, although it may need different tactics than you’re accustomed to.
    • There will be many more occasions in which damage is unavoidable, therefore it will become increasingly vital to accept losses strategically; depending on the circumstances, it may be preferable to lose grid power, sacrifice a pilot, or fail to achieve a mission goal.
    • Grid power increases are doubled, making it considerably simpler to recover from the verge of defeat. Do not surrender after a few failures.
    • There is a limit to the number of Vek that may spawn, therefore it is occasionally better to keep some weak Vek alive rather than eliminate them immediately.

All Nintendo Switch owners may now download the Into the Breach “Advanced Edition” upgrade.
