The newest Japanese game software sales data for the week ending March 27th have been released by Famitsu, giving us our first glimpse at how well Kirby And The Forgotten Land sold.
Kirby And The Forgotten Land sold 380,000 copies in its first week on shop shelves, defeating Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and Pokemon Legends Arceus to the top of the Japanese rankings. According to the Japanese game sales statistics site Game Data Library, Forgotten Land is currently the greatest Kirby series launch in Japan’s history, as well as the second best-selling videogame in the nation so far in 2022, only behind Pokemon Legends Arceus.
