Life is Strange: Remastered Collection features a new promotional video from Square Enix. The six-minute video serves as the game’s first official gameplay trailer, highlighting the collection’s graphical improvements over the original games.
Players will be able to experience renowned protagonists Max and Chloe like never before, thanks to enhanced character models, better motion capture, and more.
Improvements seen in the clip
- With a redesigned lighting pipeline, Unreal Engine 4 now renders in native 4K resolution.
- Throughout the game, there are new and upgraded 4K-ready character models with enhanced polycounts and more bones.
- All character models have been upgraded to provide more emotional and expressive movement, more realistic hair physics, and new tears, injuries, and other details.
- With enhanced facial SFX, Max’s tears and reactions are more detailed.
- The face expressions and eyelines of Nathan and Chloe have been changed.
- Throughout, there is new lip-sync animation.
- Reflectivity and texture have been improved using new and updated scenery materials.
- Models and materials for crucial objects, such as the bathroom bucket, have been updated.
