Limited Run Games – River City Girls Zero physical editions

Last year, we revealed that both River City Girls Zero and River City Girls 2 would be getting physical editions from Limited Run Games. Zero, unfortunately, has been pushed out from late 2021 to early 2022. Regardless, pre-orders for the game will begin on January 28 and will be available in three distinct types.

River City Girls Zero physical editions

Limited Run has several fantastic items available, if you have the cash to purchase them:

The Standard Edition is the actual cartridge version of the game. It will set you back $34.99.

The Classic Edition comes next. It boasts the following:

  • Zero cart for River City Girls
  • Retro box that looks just like a SNES case, reversible 18′′ 24′′ poster
  • Original music score

The cost of this bundle is $64.99.

Finally, there’s the Ultimate Edition. It includes the following:

  • Zero cart for River City Girls
  • Retro box that looks just like a SNES case, reversible 18′′ 24′′ poster
  • Original music score
  • The game’s digital download code
  • Keychain with a retro cartridge
  • Kyoko and Misako are posable figurines with alternating faces and appendages.

This is not an inexpensive set. It’ll set you back $149.99.

All versions will be available for pre-order on January 28 at 10 a.m. ET. They are scheduled to run for six weeks.

About River City Girls Zero

Misako and Kyoko pair up with Kunio and Riki for the first time to take to the streets in hard-hitting, curb-stomping action. While the visuals, music, and gameplay are all faithful to the original 16-bit Super Famicom release, this is the first time the game has been translated for Western audiences. There’s also a new opening cinematic, manga sequences, and a new theme music by River City Girls composer Megan McDuffee. Set out on your own or in local co-op with a buddy to learn the origins of the River City Girls!
