Lord of the Rings: Gollum to be launching later

The official Twitter account for The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has finally established a solid release date for the game, which was previously pushed back to this year.  The Lord of the Rings: Gollum will be released in stores on September 1, 2022.

Better late than never, right?

However, this only applies to the PlayStation, Xbox, and PC versions. According to the account, the Nintendo Switch version will be released at a later date. It doesn’t seem like developer Daedalic Entertainment is confident in declaring a release date for the Nintendo Switch edition, although it should be available later this year.

About Lord of the Rings: Gollum

Athletic and nimble, as well as devious and clever. Gollum is one of the most intriguing characters in The Lord of the Rings universe, driven by the need to reclaim what he has lost.

He has seen things that others cannot fathom and survived situations that others would not dare to discuss. He may be as ruthless and evil as Gollum, or as sociable and cautious as Sméagol, due to his divided nature.

While important to J.R.R. Tolkien’s plot, many details of Gollum’s journey have yet to be revealed. This narrative may be found in The Lord of the Rings: Gollum. From his time as a slave under the Dark Tower through his time with the Mirkwood Elves.

To survive and conquer what is ahead, use stealth, agility, and cunning. Climb, jump, and grapple your way around hazards and into opportune positions.

While Gollum is not a combatant, it is not uncommon for him to murder a reckless foe when the opportunity arises — or dispose of them in more inventive and evil ways.

The choices you make and the manner you play have an immediate impact on Gollum’s personality: Always torn between the two extremes represented by Gollum and Sméagol, it is up to you to determine whether the darker side of Gollum wins control or whether there is still a spark of reason in what was once Sméagol. You decide: one mind or two egos?
