Following the release of Monster Hunter Rise, Capcom revealed another new monster that will be added to the game as part of the free title update coming in April.
Apex Rathalos
The newly revealed monster is Apex Rathalos, a more powerful version of the iconic wyvern that is exclusive to Rampage mode. As mentioned earlier, it will be added to Monster Hunter Rise alongside Chameleos in late April, along with an increased Hunter Rank Cap.

Rathalos is perhaps the franchise’s most iconic monster, appearing in every game in the series (including spin-offs like the Monster Hunter Stories games) and it even made a cameo appearance in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
But this Apex Rathalos appears to be a wholly new variant, one that is brand new to the game. It’s too early to tell how it will differentiate from the normal Rathalos but, appearance-wise, it looks to have glowing red veins.
