Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak – Version 11.0.1 patch notes

Capcom gave the official patch notes for version 11.0.1 of Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. There will be a lot of new stuff for players to do, like new monsters, quests, a new way to do quests, and more. On top of the regular bug fixes, this is a lot.

Version 11.0.1 patch notes

  • New Parts of the Story
    • There are now new monsters that will show up in Gathering Hub quests.
    • The game now has more monsters that are sick.
    • There are now more quests to do.
    • Anomaly Investigations is a new type of quest that has been added. After you finish the main story and move forward in the game, you’ll be able to do anomaly investigations.
    • Forlorn Arena is a new place that has been added.
    • There are now new weapons, armor, layered gear, skills, and ways to use them.
    • There is a new building for the Anomaly Investigations.
    • At the Smithy, you can now use Qurious Crafting, which is a new feature.
  • New System Elements
    • There are now new Guild Card pages, awards, and titles.
    • Auto Shoutouts now has two new speech timings: “When the monster is calmed down” and “When the monster is drunk.”
    • You can now choose a Badge of Heroes that will show up next to the name of your Hunter.
    • “Hunter Connect Invite Settings” is a new choice that has been added.
  • Bug fixes and changes to the game’s balance
    • Player
      • 【Hunter】
        • Power Sheathe (Great Sword): Fixed a bug where the buff effect of Power Sheathe wouldn’t work if you dodged too quickly after using the move with a left or right input.
        • Harvest Moon (Long Sword): Fixed a bug where Harvest Moon wouldn’t turn off properly when your weapon was in its scabbard because of an abnormal status (by performing a dodge right after you recover from the status).
        • Harvest Moon (Long Sword): Fixed a bug where Harvest Moon wouldn’t turn off when going from Wyvern Riding state to another state.
        • Foresight Slash (Long Sword): Fixed an issue where Foresight Slash could not be chained into a Sacred Sheathe Combo after using the Spirit Gauge to do the move and failing the counter.
        • Sword & Shield: When making a movement input during or at the start of a guard, your character’s direction doesn’t change right away. This makes it easier to Backstep in these situations.
        • Charge Blade: Fixed an issue where the effects of the Rapid Morph skill wouldn’t happen when using Axe: Smash from a sheathed state.
        • Charge Blade—Air Dash: Fixed a bug that caused the Air Dash move to end early if it was used right next to a ledge (or otherwise when you are already in midair at the start of the wirebug animation).
        • Charge Blade: Ultra Element Discharge (Only for Impact Phial): Fixed an issue where the weapon’s elemental or status effect buildup values weren’t applied to the slamming part of the attack.
        • Insect Glaive: Fixed a bug where if a Kinsect was thrown at a monster that was moving, it would stop where the monster was when it was first thrown.
        • Awakened Kinsect Attack (Insect Glaive): Fixed a bug where the player could get stuck in the Switch Skill animation and be unable to move when the Kinsect did its automatic attacks right after using the Switch Skill.
        • Light Bowgun—Elemental Reload: Fixed a bug where the player’s Equipment Info didn’t show the correct reload speed when they had this skill equipped and were in a base.
        • Light Bowgun – Fanning Maneuver: Fixed a bug where the player’s direction would change to the same input used when using Fanning Maneuver right after a Switch Skill Swap.
        • Light Bowgun—Critical Firepower: Fixed a bug where the player’s Equipment Info didn’t show the correct amount of recoil reduction when they had this skill equipped and were in a base.
        • When using Bolt Boost, the Gunner Aim Assist option for Super Critical Range aiming didn’t work right when using Bolt Boost. This has been fixed.
        • Grinder (S): Fixed an issue where the length of the original boost could be overwritten by a shorter boost effect when the sharpness boost was activated while you already had the boost from a previous activation.
      • 【Buddies】
        • Fixed a bug that made it possible to have more Kittenators running than intended during multiplayer.
        • There was a bug that caused Buddies to stumble at the start of some monsters’ turf wars. This has been fixed.
      • 【Followers】
        • Fixed problems that made it hard for followers to do Wyvern. Riding on monsters in different areas to get back to the player.
    • Monsters
      • 【Monsters】
        • Some beam or laser-shaped attacks could go through walls and other obstacles. This has been fixed.
        • Almudron: Fixed an issue where, when Almudron fell near a ledge, it would sink into the ground in a strange way.
        • Magma Almudron: Fixed an issue where the player or their Friends could sometimes disappear when breaking the rocks Magma Almudron makes during battle.
        • Nargacuga: Fixed a bug where some of Nargacuga’s attacks, which should have made other monsters mountable, didn’t work the way they were supposed to.
        • Mizutsune: Fixed a problem where Mizutsune would sometimes keep moving toward a wall in the Jungle location.
        • Rakna-Kadaki: Fixed an issue where Rakna-Kadaki could get stuck in certain parts of Lava Caverns and not be able to leave the area.
        • Rajang: Fixed a problem where Rajang could not leave the Citadel locale in some places.
        • Malzeno: Fixed a problem where some of the effects of Malzeno’s attacks didn’t show up the way they were supposed to.
        • Pukei-Pukei: Fixed a bug where a Marionette Spider could not drop items from a Pukei-Pukei during certain actions.
        • Kushala Daora: Fixed an issue where a wind pressure reaction would look like it was triggered even if it wasn’t actually triggered.
        • Chameleos: Fixed a bug where high-rank Chameleos didn’t always act the way they were supposed to when hit by a flash.
        • Fixed a bug where materials dropped by monsters would go away after a certain number of them were in use at the same time.
  • The “Wyvern Riding”
    • Some Wyvern Riding attacks could hurt other players. This is no longer the case.
  • Places and their surroundings
    • 【Locales】
      • Fixed a bug where a Wyvern Riding monster launch could cause a monster to crash into a wall in parts of the Jungle locale where a wall doesn’t actually exist.
      • Fixed a bug that could cause the player to get stuck in Area 3 of the Jungle location.
      • The player could sometimes get stuck on a branch of the big tree in the middle of the Jungle location.
  • “Endangered Life”
    • Marionette Spider: If you couldn’t pull a monster toward you, you no longer lose a Marionette Spider.
    • Marionette Spider: If you are in the middle of using a Marionette Spider, you can no longer throw it away.
  • Base and Equipment
    • 【Facilities】
      • Changed the inputs needed to use MP Accelerant to make it a little bit easier to use.
      • When melding at the Melding Pot, all locked talismans will now be at the bottom.
      • Now, you can change pages on the Melting Pot’s material selection screen by holding down the LB and RB buttons.
      • Fixed a bug that let Master-Rank Rathalos give out materials from the Rathian Cortex on Meowcenaries missions.
      • When using Compare Equipment on a weapon after canceling Compare Equipment on armor with 6 or more armor skills, the Equipment Skills display would go away.
      • Fixed a problem with how the Sun Springnight Carp and Locked Treasure Chest were put in the Item Box.
      • Fixed a bug in the Canteen that could cause food skills that weren’t from a Bunny Dango Set to be used when that set was chosen right after other dango.
      • Fixed a bug that made it impossible to move the preview camera while changing the hue, saturation, or contrast for armor and layered armor.
      • There was a bug where some inputs could change the results of combining Anima and Reincarnation.
  • Miscellaneous
    • 【Quests】
      • Scorned Magnamalo quests now give more money, Hunter Rank points, and Master Rank points.
      • Rewards from Optional Subquests that couldn’t be gotten because there were already too many of them will now be sold automatically.
      • When using the Random option to respond to Join Requests at ranks A1 to A4, it was possible to join quests above your highest unlocked rank.
      • Fixed a bug where, during certain cutscenes in multiplayer, the game screen wouldn’t go back to normal after going black.
    • 【Equipment】
      • Fixed a bug that made it so the same materials were needed for more than one Secta Du White upgrade.
      • The following changes have been made to F Khezu Whaccine X’s stats:
      • (BEFORE) Close-range attack power: 195; melee attack power: 215; elemental attack power: 23; damage type: severing (AFTER) Power of melee attack: 200; power of ranged attack: 230; power of elemental attack: 21. — Type of damage: Blunt
      • The following changes have been made to C Khezu Arma X’s stats:
        • (BEFORE) Close-range attacks were worth 195, melee attacks were worth 215, and elemental attacks were worth 23. — Damage type: Severing (AFTER) Damage type: blunt. Melee attack power: 200; ranged attack power: 230; elemental attack power: 21.
      • Fixed an issue where the forging materials for Orangaten were labeled as MR Bishaten instead of MR Blood Orange Bishaten.
    • 【Items】
      • Large Elder Dragon Gem: Now sells for 18,000 zenny instead of 12,000z.
    • 【Menus】
      • Fixed a bug that made it so the rewards page on other players’ Guild Cards wasn’t always updated correctly.
      • There was a bug where the effects of some skills didn’t show up correctly on the status of equipment registered to equipment loadouts.
    • 【Options】
      • The Player Hit Effects and Other Player Hit Effects options now affect the Long Sword’s Silkbind Sakura Slash.
      • You can no longer change the Buttons for Wyvern Riding option in the middle of a quest.
      • Fixed a bug that caused the volume of the audio to change much more than intended when the volume was changed in the options.
      • Fixed a problem where Guild Cards wouldn’t always go away completely.
      • On the quest results screen, the icon for Rachnoid would sometimes show up as a Felyne icon instead. This has been fixed.
      • Fixed a few bugs in the text.
      • Various other bugs have also been fixed.

On August 10, 2022, all players will be able to download the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak version 11.0.1 update.
