In celebration of the series’ 25th Anniversary, Koei Tecmo announced Monster Rancher 1 + 2 DX for Nintendo Switch and PC in Japan.
As the name suggests, the title is a collection of both the first and second Monster Rancher games (AKA Monster Farm) with some additional features such as a training memo function, speed options, and monsters from the overseas versions of the games.
The package will be released digitally for Switch on December 9th in Japan. A special 25th Anniversary Box edition is also available on GameCity, which includes the following:

- Monster Farm 1 + 2 Soundtrack CD
- Monster Farm internal planning materials

About Monster Rancher
The Monster Rancher series originally launched with a unique feature that allowed players to use physical CDs to generate monsters in the game, with each CD having a unique ID that would spawn a different monster.
This feature has been re-worked in Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX, allowing players to search a database to find their desired CD and generate a monster from its data. Enjoy searching a vast database of songs from around the world and generating monsters based off of some of your favorite music!
