Nintendo recently announced which games were very popular in July. A top 30 was composed of most downloaded games in the American eShop.

It will not surprise many that Fortnite is at the top of the list. This game is very popular, especially among young people. On top of that, it is free to download. But here in between are probably also downloads after which the game is removed after one or two jars.

If we look at the rest of the top 10, we also see few surprising games there. Octopath Traveler, is on spot two. After this game was sold out everywhere, developer Square Enix advised the players to download the game digitally. In third place is the popular indie title Hollow Knight. The title of Team Cherry is perhaps ‘pound for pound’ the best Nintendo Switch indie title available today.

Furthermore, Zelda and Splatoon 2 are both in the top 10 while these games have been out for over a year.
