Players managed to get their hands on digital copies of NEO: The World Ends With You early due to an error with the codes they received from pre-ordering the physical version trhough Square Enix’s online store.
Reports came in confirming that Nintendo revoked all access to digital copies of the game in response to this slip up. Dataminer Oatmealdome noted that any players who previously had access to the leak will now be kicked out with an error code 2819-0003. Which is a first for the console.

Nintendo also sent out an email with an official clarification on what went down.

Nintendo has now commented on the situation.
It appears that the error was on Nintendo's side – the codes were supposed to be for DLC, but they instead granted access to the full game.

Apparently, the error was due to a mixup on Nintendo’s side, as the codes provided by Square Enix were only meant to grant access to the pre-order DLC, and not the full version of the game.
Square Enix will be issuing new codes to all those who pre-ordered the game.
