New Super Mario Bros. U – Cut Content

Earlier this year, Nintendo ported New Super Mario Bros. U from Wii U to Nintendo Switch as New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe.

The original Wii U game had tons of cut content that never made it to the final version of the game.

Cut content

There are tons of unused objects and items hidden in the code of New Super Mario Bros U.

Some of them are just small neat little things that didn’t make the cut into the full version of New Super Mario Bros. U, while others are actually pretty cool obstacles that at some point in development probably had a full level build around them but then got kicked out for some reason.

In this video we are going to take a look at a lot of those cut New Super Mario Bros U. features, and we will speculate a bit about what their purpose was, and why they were cut.
