The Ninjala beta happened recently and it was entertaining albeit with a few hiccups. Dataminers have been hard at work examining the game and have noticed a number of Sonic franchise references leading some to believe that there could be a Sonic cross-over event happening sometime in the future.

There's a few of references to the Sonic series within cosmetic item descriptions. Here's one:
"A sticker of the mad scientist Dr. Robotnik striking a victory pose. Let the whole world know your ambitions."
