We found out a couple of weeks ago about the interesting new Labo concept for the Nintendo Switch which is coming in April and in recent news the Wall Street Journal is reporting that Nintendo has more new peripheral hardware devices planned for the Nintendo Switch.
No doubt they will be as equally wacky and exciting as Labo and that is both why we love and hate this news.
More peripherals = more gimmicks
People familiar with the development plans said new peripheral hardware devices for the Switch are planned, without elaborating.
This lines up with recent outing of Nintendo president Kimishima about broadening the ways to play for the Nintendo Switch. But it also worries us a bit; we do not want to see Nintendo go down the gimmicky road with the now insanely popular Nintendo Switch. That would be a real waste of momentum they have fought so hard for to gain back in the first place.
