It was sure to happen sooner, rather than later, eports have been coming in suggesting that known hackers (like ShinyQuagsire, SciresM and others) are being banned from accessing Nintendo online services through their Nintendo Switch console.
What does a ban mean?
The mentioned users have been receiving error code 2124-4007 when trying to access the eShop. “Those who are banned cannot access the eShop or online gameplay, interact with friends, or post. The news feed and updating apps still works.”
However the seem to be still able to download updates of games currently installed, which is somewhat odd. This should be seen as a warning that Nintendo is looking into unauthorized actions. What exact action is still the question but downloading games from the Nintendo CDN’s using homebrew applications might have been the case.
