Nintendo Switch OLED – No new CPU or RAM upgrade

Before the Nintendo  Switch OLED official reveal, there were a numerous  rumors circulating about a potential Pro Switch. With many of the mockups proposing that it would feature more powerful hardware with 4K capabilities.

Although the OLED Model is very likely the true form of the rumored device, Nintendo confirmed in a statement to TheVerge that the new model will not feature any upgrades to its CPU or RAM, and seems to be for the most part the same as previous Nintendo Switch models.

No CPU or RAM Upgrade

Nintendo Switch OLED model does not have a new CPU, or more RAM, from previous Nintendo Switch models. This news may likely come as a disappointment to those who were expecting more out of Nintendo’s rumored “Switch Pro”.

That said, the OLED version does feature a number of useful changes outside of the CPU and RAM department, being a bigger screen, smaller bezel, more internal storage, enhanced audio, wider stand a new dock with dedicated LAN port.

But still the question arises, are you going to be purchasing one at launch on October 8th, for 349,99 $?
