President of Nintendo, Tatsumi Kimishima, announced that the Nintendo Switch Online service will come into effect next September.
This means that from then on players will have to take a subscription in order to be able to use the online functions of the Nintendo Switch.
Shallow information
Although not much more information was shared, Kimishima added that subscribers can enjoy a number of extras. These will be free downloads of classic titles with online capabilities and exclusive discounts in the Nintendo eShop.
But still that is not really new information … which gives us some worries. Because in fact we already knew this last year. Has Nintendo taken any steps? Have they encountered problems … what does it all mean for us gamers?
