During Nintendo’s most recent financial results announcement, they provided some updated numbers regarding its Nintendo Switch Online service.
Nintendo Switch Online subscribers have hit 36 million as of September 2022, a 3 million increase over the previous year. This statistic covers Switch Online subscribers as well as those who have purchased the new Expansion Pack. Individuals who have subscribed as part of Family Plans are also included.
Expanding Expansion Pass
In the conference, Nintendo reiterated their commitment to improving and expanding both the normal Switch Online service and the Expansion pack so that users may “continue enjoying Nintendo Switch for a long time.” For the Expansion Pack specifically, this involves adding more N64 games as well as free access to more paid DLCs.
As of September 30, 2022, Nintendo Switch Online, a service that makes Nintendo Switch more enjoyable and convenient, has more over 36 million paid subscribers. Memberships have increased in tandem with a rise in Nintendo Switch users and the availability of games that allow online play. This service provides more than simply the opportunity to play compatible online games. It also gives you access to a growing range of additional perks, such as a growing selection of classic titles. We think that by broadening the number of accessible play possibilities in this way, we can provide opportunity for players to continue playing Nintendo Switch for a long period.
