A new collection of SEGA Genesis titles has recently been available on Nintendo Switch Online. These games include Golden Axe II, Alien Storm, Columns, and Virtua Fighter 2 among others. After downloading the latest version of the app, Expansion Pack subscribers may have instant access to all of these games as soon as the update is complete.
Golden Axe II
The events of Golden Axe II take place three years after the confrontation with the sinister behemoth Death Adder. Now, the evil ruler Dark Guld has acquired the power of the fabled Golden Axe, and he is leading a tribe of demons in their quest to destroy the globe. In order to put a stop to Dark Guld’s reign of terror, you will need to join forces with the heroic trio of Ax, Tyris, and Gilius and embark on a sword-and-sorcery quest into a weird realm populated by refurbished wizards, lizardmen, and minotaurs.
Alien Storm
In the video game Alien Storm, a race of hostile aliens attacks Earth, and it is up to the courageous Alien Busters to put a stop to it! This port of the fan-favorite arcade game from the same developers who brought you Golden Axe allows you to play solo or with a friend as one of three heroes: Garth, the tough guy armed with a bazooka; Karen, the lone wolf armed with a flamethrower; or Scooter, the robot armed with an electromagnetic whip. Your objective is to eliminate the alien threat.
Columns
Columns is a mesmerizing falling-piece puzzle game with shimmering jewels and calming sounds that will have you falling in love with puzzles all over again. To remove gems from the board and boost your score, connect them in lines that may be either horizontal, vertical, or diagonal. In addition to this, you may choose from a variety of gameplay modes, such as two-player Doubles and Flash Columns!
Virtua Fighter 2
Step into the ring with the 2D version of the famous 3D fighting game, Virtua Fighter 2, which was released on the SEGA Genesis. You may compete to become the best fighter in the world using a number of different fighters, including Akira, Jacky, Sarah, Jeffrey, and Wolf. These fighters are all experts in various fighting techniques, including bajiquan, jeet kune do, pankration, and pro wrestling. Ready? GO!
Nintendo Switch Online – Expansion Pack
The Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership plan includes all of the benefits of a Nintendo Switch Online membership, including cloud saves, NES and SNES titles, and experiences like Pac-Man 99, in addition to access to a library of classic Nintendo 64 and SEGA Genesis games with added online play. These games are only available with the Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership plan. In addition to that, it grants access to the downloadable content (DLC) for Animal Crossing: New Horizons – Happy Home Paradise, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass, and Splatoon 2: Octo Expansion at no additional cost.
