Players who have already been enjoying Nintendo Switch Sports on Nintendo Switch, as well as those who haven’t tried it yet, will soon have access to new content that will take things to the next level.
Releasing on July 27, a free software update* will be available that adds a number of new features to the game, including updates for Football, Volleyball, and online play.
New content for Nintendo Switch Sports
After installing the update, players will be able to play full Four-on-Four and One-on-One Football games with a Joy-Con controller and the Leg Strap accessory, which comes with the physical copy of the game and can also be bought separately. Using the Leg Strap, aspiring football players can make a kicking motion in real life, which the game can then turn into an action in the game. In the same way, you can sprint by moving your hands as if you were jogging in place.
Even so, the update isn’t just for people who play Leg Strap. Volleyball now has new moves called the “Slide Attack” and “Rocket Serve,” and the “S Rank” and ” Rank” that have been added to the “Pro League” will help players who like to compete reach even higher levels while playing online. And when players aren’t spiking, swinging, or hitting for new ranks in Play Globally mode, they can use the new Room IDs to easily join games in Play with Friends mode. It has never been easier to play Nintendo Switch Sports online with friends who live far away.
Once the update is live on July 27, you can go to the game’s support page to find out more about what’s in it. Stay tuned for more information about the next free content update, which will come in the fall and add Golf to the list of sports you can play.
