US Nintendo Switch owners can obtain a physical version of Resident Evil Revelations Collection in stores at the end of this month. It contains the two parts of the series.
Unfortunately, the games in Europe will only be available digitally. The collectors among us will have to import the game if they want to complete their collection with a physical copy.
Capcom Europe
Capcom Europe think it is not feasible to release Resident Evil Collection as physical copy in our continent. The reason they give suggests that they assume that the game will not sell well here.
Capcom has to take various factors into account when deciding what format to deliver our titles to our fans. These can include but are not limited to overall production costs, manufacturing times, distribution, and first party regulations.
In the case of Resident Evil Revelations, we’ve found that unfortunately it’s not viable for Capcom Europe to create a physical version of the title on Nintendo Switch for our territories, however we will be making this available as a digital release.
Too bad, we would have liked to purchase a physical version of the game because we prefer our games that way. We will keep an eye out to for it though on our standard game supplier as they tend to import games.
