Nintendo decided to cut the price of the base model of Nintendo Switch in Europe (and the UK), leaving many wondering whether similar price drops may be coming to other parts of the world.
But for now unfortunately it seems Nintendo might have no such plans.
According to Axios Gaming newsletter co-author, Stephen Totilo, his contacts at Nintendo told him that the price adjustment is for the European region only, with “no plans” for a similar drop in price for the US, and presumably, other countries.
Nintendo tells me yesterday's Switch price drop was just for Europe (and the UK):
“The trade price adjustment is for the European region only. There are no plans to change the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price for any Nintendo Switch model in the U.S.”

Not now we guess?
Of course, such a statement now does not necessarily rule out an eventual price drop somewhere down the line.
