Previously, we reported that Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma was teasing at a possible Nintendo Switch port of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword.
However, it seems like the producer may have just been teasing and nothing more.
Nintendo – No plans
According to Eurogamer, a Nintendo spokesperson has decisively shut down the rumor. Here’s what the representative had to say in response to all the speculation:
At this time we have no plans to release The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword on Nintendo Switch.
It looks like Nintendo fans will just have to wait some other day to re-experience the dark horse of the Zelda franchise or you could just play it on the console it came out for but … let’s hope for a remake, hopefully without the motion controls. Because it still was an awful lot of fun.
